Pre filming analysis of surroundings  -

James Post

In the woods we practiced shooting from several angles to make sure it was what we wanted, to create the correct paths for the actress and actor to walk through.

For the filming we went to Rosie's field and the woods that surrounded it, we decided on specific places we would like to shoot the footage and made sure they would suit the type of shots we wanted to capture.

For the bridge scene we experimented with canted and normal angles, repeating shots to ensure quality and gave us waste to work with if we needed to add anything in

This is one of the fields that surrounds the woodland we wanted to get a shot that showed this at the start of the film. To do this we still used the college camera and tripod however as you can see from the image on the right the tripod we were given was broken so we had to improvise and try and get the steadiest shot possible without a tripod.

Once we got around to the fire stage Rosie's father gathered multiple things we could burn which would actually be a bonfire but it turned out well considering the size and the heat we got from the fire.

We emptied the jerry can and filled it with water to simulate the fuel however to get the fire really going Rosie's father at a safe distance used diesel to make sure it went up in flames, from the footage and the evidence photos we took it turned out to be huge.

I had a high brightness led head torch which helped when setting up the fire due to the fact it was at night and made sure we didn't spill any petrol near us so we would get set alight.
